Project Description
Aluminum alloy 7075 has high strength and is one of the main structural materials for the aviation industry. The development of modern aviation industry requires aeronautical structural materials with higher strength, better fracture toughness and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
Typical Chemistry Limits:
Alloy | Si | Fe | Cu | Mn | Mg | Cr | Zn | Ti | Others-Each | Others-Total | Al |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
7075 | 0.40 | 0.50 | 1.2-2.0 | 0.30 | 2.10-2.90 | 0.18-0.28 | 5.10-6.10 | 0.20 | 0.05 | 0.15 | Remainder |
Key Features:
- Aluminum Alloy 7075 is an alloy with zinc as the primary element. It is Al-Mg-Zn-Cu alloy. It is strong and thermal treatable, with a strength comparable to many steel types.
- After stress reduction processing, 7075 aluminum plate/profile will not be deformed and warped. The 7075 aluminum plates with super thick thickness are all detected by the ultrasonic wave, which can guarantee no sand holes and impurities.
- Aluminum Alloy 7075 has high thermal conductivity. It can shorten molding time and improve working efficiency. After solution and thermal treatment, it has good strength performance below 150 ℃. However, the welding performance is poor and there is a tendency of stress corrosion cracking.
- Aluminum alloy 7075 can be cold worked using conventional methods in soft and annealed condition, so it can be used to make a variety of plate specifications.
Typical Application:
Alloy 7075 is mainly used in the manufacture of aircraft structures and other high-stress structural parts requiring high strength and corrosion resistance required, such as aircraft upper and lower wing panels and purlins. Also widely used in mold processing, mechanical equipment, tooling jig, aerospace industry, blow molding (bottle) mold, ultrasonic welding mold, golf head, shoe mold, paper mold, foam molding mold, dewaxing mold, mechanical equipment. It was also first used as the body material of the Oppo-N3 smartphone in 2014.
Physical Property:
